Okay. I know it's July and 91 degrees outside but I have a question. Are any of you interested in attending a Great Gatsby New Year's Eve Party here at Brunswick Mineral Springs Bed and Breakfast?
I have always been drawn to 1920's fashion. I think it's glamorous and classy. It was the look I chose when I married my incredible husband, Tom.
I have a lot of irons in the proverbial fire for the event. It is, of course, going to be formal. It will give us ladies an opportunity to wear one of the favorite gowns we've been keeping in the back of the closet hoping for another chance to dust it off and give it a night on the town... or to an exclusive B&B party. Truth be told, I'm going to wear the same ensemble I wore when Tom and I were married.
There will be food, beverages and 1920's music. There will be valet parking. Prizes will be awarded to the most glamorous. Anyone who wants to stay overnight is welcomed to book a room in advance. But you won't have to stay the night to attend the party.
I will offer a discount to those who want to stay overnight and even more for those who have stayed with us before. We can accommodate 14 guests (prices are for up to two people in each accommodation) but there is room for others in each room so, it all depends on how cozy you want to be. Sharing room costs does reduce the amount each person has to pay. However, as is our policy, there will be a $25 additional fee for additional guests who want breakfast the next morning.
As I am still pulling plans together (and apart, sometimes) I have yet to work out a cost per person/couple to attend the party. I do know I tickets will have to be paid in advance so I will know how much food and libations to I will need to satisfy everyone.
Well, that's about that.
Please leave a comment or questions(s) below. Let me know if this sounds as fabulous to you as I think it can be and whether or not you are interested in attending/staying the night (or more).
In the meantime, we still have a couple of rooms left for this weekend. We're planning a bonfire and smores. My very talented brother will be here with his guitar. You really should hear him sing.
But, wherever you are this 4th day of July... I hope you all have a wonderful Independence Day!
God Bless America.
Land that I love.
